Ss Peter and Paul Parish
Sacramental Program

Ss Peter and Paul Parish Sacramental Program is an at-home preparation program which requires attendance at Mass to successfully complete.

Parents journey with their child in preparing for the Sacraments by taking them through their workbooks and reflection sheets at home, and then attending Mass each weekend to hand in the completed work. In this way both parent and child participate as a family in their Faith and as a member of the Parish community.

If you would like to enrol your child in the Sacramental Program but they have not been Baptised, please Contact Us to arrange Baptism .

First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion can both be received from Year 3 onwards. They can be celebrated in the same year or in separate years.

FIRST RECONCILIATION (Penance) commences in early August and must be completed before children can commence preparation for First Holy Communion.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION (Eucharist) begins in late September, with the sacrament being celebrated on the Feast of Christ the King in November. Children must have complete First Reconciliation before First Holy Communion can be received.

CONFIRMATION is celebrated in Year 6 and children must already have completed First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. ENROLMENTS FOR CONFIRMATION 2024 ARE NOW CLOSED. Information for 2025 will be published at the beginning of Term 1, 2025.

Teenagers in Year 7 and above are most welcome to enrol in the Confirmation program (see note below).

If you have a teenager who has been Baptised but they have not yet received any other Sacrament, or who has made their First Reconciliation but not yet made their First Holy Communion and Confirmation, please contact the Parish Office to discuss further options.
